Dave Kanne is an LPC received a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.

Dave also holds an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. His doctoral dissertation focused on emotional intelligence and its link to meaning making, marital friendship, and transformational leadership.

Dave has been on full-time staff with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) for 36 years, and for 13 years served on faculty at Dallas Theological Seminary at the Center for Christian Leadership. There he directed the Spiritual Formation program, and for 10 years (1997-2006) directed LEAD (Leadership Evaluation And Development), a coach-facilitated feedback intensive that focuses on the heart of the leader and how this heart dynamic plays out in closest relationships and at work. While directing LEAD, Dave served alongside Bruce Edstrom.

Dave speaks regularly about relationships, leadership development and spiritual growth, having over 35 years experience in mentoring others to know Christ deeply and follow Him. His ministry experience and clinical training encompass a broad spectrum of issues, which include:

  • men’s issues
  • spiritual formation
  • abuse issues
  • parenting problems
  • depression and emotional struggles
  • career counseling

Dave and his family live in the Dallas area.
